A walk among some of East Dartmoor’s most beautiful tors with Dartmoor guide Paul Rendell.
Friday 30th May, 10:00 – 14:00, Hound Tor Car Park
Join Paul for a varied walk taking in ten tors on East Dartmoor, including Hound Tor, Greator Rocks, Smallacombe Rocks, Haytor, Saddle Tor, Top Tor and Bonehill Rocks. On this seven mile, four hour walk we will learn about the tors and the natural landscape. The walk will also include a visit to the remains of a medieval village below Hound Tor and we will learn why was it abandoned. There will a couple of steep hills and the walk will be mainly on open moorland.
Paul Rendell – known fondly as ‘Dartmoor Paul’ is a historian, author and walk leader who has lived locally all his life. His knowledge of Dartmoor is second to none.
