The Dartmoor Tors Festival has been conceived by Sophie Pierce and Alex Murdin, who have lived on Dartmoor for over 25 years. It will explore and celebrate the culture of Dartmoor and our emotional connection with wild, ancient places. We aim to present diverse cultural, social and political responses to the natural world – all through the lens of Dartmoor as a place. There will be talks, conversations, walks, workshops and performances.
The Festival is being put on in partnership with Ashburton Arts Centre and Field System Gallery, and has the support of Dartmoor National Park.
All events are ticketed separately. For the Friday and Saturday events taking place in Ashburton, as well as the Sunday event with Beltane Border, find tickets HERE. For these events there are three prices to suit all pockets. Please pay what you can to support the artists and the Arts Centre, and if you want to attend lots of events, then the bottom price makes the Festival quite affordable. If, for example, you want to attend all five daytime events on Saturday, you can effectively buy yourself a day ticket for £35 by choosing to purchase each event at the cheapest price.
The other events on the Monday and during the following week can be booked by following the links at the bottom of the relevant page on our website.

Adventuring to remote places and recounting familiar and better known sites. We recommend everyone visits Dartmoor with this book to hand, their life will be richer for it!”
