On display at Salty’s Studio in the centre of Ashburton over the festival weekend will be the work of designer Jim Salter. He designs and makes limited edition screen prints and greetings cards in his studio shop in the picturesque town of Ashburton, Devon. Jim has a playful approach to clean bold type and simple visual icons.
He and Sandra Salter set up a screen printing studio after years of working in creative media, eventually finding it has brought them back to hands-on work they love. They are now well known for simple design, witty and just off the mainstream, responsibly sourced and well-designed printed treats.
A couple of Dartmoor inspired prints on show will be Love Dartmoor and Tor De Moor (it’s King of the Mountains jersey inspired red polkadots a tribute some of the exciting Tour of Britain cycle races that have been held on Dartmoor recently).
