Walk: The Ancient Sites of Merrivale & their Landscape Settings with shamans Peter Knight and Sue Wallace-Knight

Sunday 3rd May, 13:00, Merrivale

Dartmoor is well-known for its wealth of prehistoric monuments, but much less is known about how these sacred sites relate to the landscape around them. Join Peter Knight, the author of Dartmoor Mindscapes, along with dowser Sue Wallace-Knight, for a gentle three hour, mindful walking experience around the Merrivale megalithic complex.

Peter and Sue will immerse you in the world of the Ancients, and show how our ancestors aligned their sacred places to the natural features in the landscape, such as the local tors, to achieve astronomical alignments. You will contemplatively walk and dowse the stone rows, the stone circle and the Longstone, and Peter and Sue will also gently drum and chant and to help you walk in the footsteps of the Ancestors.

Peter Knight and Sue Wallace-Knight run Stoneseeker Tours, showing people Britain’s ancient sites. Together they are the authors of Albion Dreamtime – Re-enchanting the Isle of Dragons. Peter is author of Dartmoor Mindscapes: Revisioning a Sacred Landscape.
