Spend a morning walking and drawing with Dartmoor-based contemporary artist and moorland guide Kay Pearson.
Thursday 29/05/25 09:30 – 12:30, Haytor Down
Sometimes to walk slowly and observe closely is a great way to see Dartmoor. No route plans, times and distances to be met. Just to amble, stop, sketch, and be in the moment is a great pleasure. Spending time in each of the two quarries below Haytor Rocks, Kay will lead and help with drawing ideas and opportunities, adding some Dartmoor knowledge and stories along the way. No drawing experience is needed!
Kay has been an artist and keen walker for a long time and has run workshops and walks for art residencies, charities and as a self-employed guide. She gets an endless source of inspiration from wild places across the UK but returns to the Dartmoor landscape constantly, drawn by its wildness and drama, its atmosphere, and its layers of history. www.karenvpearson.co.uk
